Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 August 2026

1. Who we are

Huurly is an early-stage rental-search service for people looking for homes in and around Amsterdam. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at privacy@huurly.nl.

2. What information we collect

We may collect your first name, email address, optional phone number, rental-search preferences such as budget, location, number of bedrooms and housing preferences, together with basic technical information needed to operate and secure the service.

3. Why we use your information

We use this information to save and manage your rental search, contact you about relevant listings and early access to Huurly, improve the service, prevent abuse, and respond to your requests.

4. Legal basis

We process information when it is necessary to provide the service you requested, where we have a legitimate interest in operating and improving Huurly, or where you have given consent when consent is required.

5. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell your personal data. We may use trusted providers for hosting, storage, email delivery, messaging, analytics or other technical infrastructure. They may process information only as needed to provide those services and subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Early-access and inactive search data may be deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed.

7. Your rights

Under applicable data-protection law, including the GDPR where applicable, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, request data portability, or withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the relevant data-protection authority.

8. International transfers

If providers process information outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards will be used where required by law.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

10. Cookies and analytics

Huurly may use strictly necessary technologies to operate the site. If non-essential analytics, advertising pixels or similar technologies are introduced and consent is required, they will not be activated before consent is obtained.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as Huurly develops. The latest version will always display its effective date.

This version is intended for Huurly's early-access phase. It should be reviewed before introducing real payments, behavioural advertising or materially different data processing.
